Motorola Cheetah
Client: Motorola Agency: Motorola -- Human Factors & Design Integration (Internal) Project Tasks: User Interface Design, User Interaction Design Project Description: Cheetah was the codename for the Motorola IM1100. A wireless card for the users laptop so they can use their mobile service as a way to connect to the internet. Displayed is the desktop software for the card. The software turned on and off the modem connection to the network and also displayed statistics of the current connection. Also displayed is the software designed for Pocket PC's. The functionality is the same, but the design modified to fit more into the Pocket PC environment. Last is a proposed label for the wireless card. I was asked to come up with a concept for the label and the packaging. I chose to do something different than the standard Nextel Yellow. Ultimately, Nextel Yellow was the direction that was chosen.
